Black Santaro with a correct conformation and a still young but regal presence, will be a future stud to keep an eye on over the next several years.  As he has continued to mature, his fleece has to developed an even bolder crimp while retaining a very luxurious hand.  The continuing improvements in his fleece have resulted in higher placements in the show ring as he enters the tougher shows which are larger and more competitive. Placed: 5th in class of 9; "Juvenile Bay Black Males"

2003 Eastern Alpaca Jubilee (MaPaca).
Placed: 3rd in class of 9; "Bay Black Juvenile Males"

2003 AOBA National Conference.
Placed 2nd in class of 7; "Juvenile Bay Black Males".

Black Santaro's sire is the remarkable Peruvian El Cid.  His mother, Love Potion, has been bred back to El Cid for what we hope is to be another copy of Santaro born in the summer of 2004.
